Default Boot clip?

Hi all,

I'm after a little help.

My boot clip seems to be loose, I assume it is just a nut or a screw that needs a tighten but it is covered up.

Is there an easy way to remove that covering? I have a terrible history of breaking clips when I try to figure it out on my own...

Boot Clip ? Around the shifter ? If so the whole piece snaps out. Get a very thin blade to raise it, then pry a little with a screw driver and it will start to pop

Shifter?

It's the little U shaped thing that holds the boot closed.

He's referring to the back hatch/trunk latch. ["Boot" = trunk, not shift boot]

I'm not too familiar with it myself, but search in the DIY and Interior/Exterior
forums for people installing a CF hatch or tail lights, I'm sure you will find info to help.

Are you talking about this thing?

If so I don't remember how the plastic pieces came off... I just took them all off and don't remember the order.... I'm pretty sure you need to take off a ton of panels to get to those bolts.

You should get yourself a service manual.

No, it's the bit that clicks into what you have shown there, wish I had a photo.

Well, the good news is you don't have a million panels to take off. The bad news is that one panel is a pain in the *** to remove.
