Default No Power Steering? HELP

ok i was driving on the freeway and my check engine light came on... i thought i might have forgotten to tighten my gas cap or something stupid like that... i got off the freeway and when i was making a turn at the light i noticed that the wheel was super hard to turn... i looked under the hood... no container for the power steering fluid (that i bought BEFORE looking for the container! ) i also noticed that the power steering ONLY works when i hold in the clutch and give thwe car a little gas then it turns with no issues at all... very strange.

i know that Toyota went electronic power steering in 06... i drive a 05, dont know if Nissan was using that technology or not...

any idea what might be the issue...

x: CEL on
x: no power steering
x: only works when motor is rev'd

thx a grip...

im sorry to ask but are you mentally handicapped?

there is a dedicated fluid bottle and on the cap it says POWER STEERING FLUID. It is passenger side mounted next to the engine. how can you freaking miss it?

and odds are, if it looks like its filled with brake fluid (or clear liquid) its empty. get a flashlight and look up underneath your car, odds are you will have greasy residue present.

Sunday is a day of rest and reflection---I will get back on this thread tomorrow and yell. All I will pleasantly say now, is ...read your manual. Everything will be all right

I think something else is going on here, because the CEL wouldn't come on for low power steering fluid.
