Default Window motor question

I have read the posts on window motors, but cant find the answer to this.

Me window motor went bad again on my 2004. I have a lifetime warranty through Autozone, however this is the 3rd replacement in 4 months.... do the newer cars have the same tendency to have window motors go bad, and if not, will the window motors from newer vehicles work in the older ones. Or of another place to get it that might be a better product. Autozone's supplier is out right now... 3 weeks wait time... they will give me a full refund on mine to go buy it someplace else.... by the way, I can replace the window motor from start to finish in 20 minutes...

Default Window motor replacement

Autozone is usually a decent supplier for there products,,sounds like you may just be having some bad luck,,,double check the regulator next time you have it apart, make sure that the wheel that carries the cable is straight or it may cause some drag causing your premature wear.

I believe I paid 180 for driver and 160 for passenger. both have lifetime warranty... warranty is pretty easy too, do not even need a receipt, just make sure you give them accurate phone number when you buy it and they can pull all the info from that. this is the 2nd time i have warrantied my driver motor and no questions just come in with the core and exchange it.. that easy..

Hmmm.....where exactly is this wheel? I'm in the same boat. I have to replace my window motor for the 4th time in two years this weekend. Lucky I bought an Autozone motor the first time I had to replace it so all it's going to cost me is time.

^was that with a core exchange? if so, do you take in your old motor as the core?
