Exclamation i put 6 qts of oilow oil leak!!! plz help!

i just did an oil change last week and i put 6qts of oil in it (penzoil). now, i just went on a good cruise lst night flooring it here and there, kinda being rough on the car and i started to smell burning oil in my car.

So i get up today and i see a small splash of oil on my garage floor about the size of my hand. I jack up the car and everything seems to be fine near the oil plug and the filter, there was no oil near there.

problems seen:

1. behind the oil plug on the bottom of my car there is another black piece near the tie rods and there is a continous drip of oil coming. every 10 second one drip! i dont know exactly where!

2. I have a cold air intake and i saw some oil splashes on it, nothing major.

3. oil cap on the engine is snug and secure.

right behind my fenderwall of the driver side is like covered in oil like someone tire wet the fender lining.

you guys plz help, hope i didnt mess up my car!

If not, your saying its going behind the drain plug? Id check around the entire block, especially the head gasket.. Just read ur sig.. 100 shot of nitrous couldve playd a part..

Ok, just read ur op.. Why in the hell would u put 6 quarts in? Secondly 5 quarts, and im still left with oil in the 5th quart bottle.. U sure its not just oil that spilled and now its just draining off after the oil change.. clean the car up well and find the source.. Thats ur only hope or just drop it off at the stealership..

Lol.. I cant believe u did that.. hold up.... Be careful not to overfill your Z wit oil... If you put in too much oil, the engine's crankshaft can actually come in contact with the oil and because the crankshaft is turning at several thousand revolutions per minute.. It can quickly whip your oil into a froth, like the steamed milk that sits on the top of a cappuccino... Why is that bad? Well, the oil pump wont pump froth very well, and as a result, it can't get oil to the parts of the engine that need lubrication.. The result ... a hefty house payment to your mechanic...

You put too much oil in. If you put too much in, oil gets up into the crank where it's not supposed to and starts foaming, which can cause a butt-load of problems. Your best bet is to change the oil again (let it drain for extended period) and then put in 5 quarts.
