Default What my IDLE RPM CHANGED!...

Eh...my car is very very strange. For the first few days I drove the car brand new, it idled at about a little bit less than 1k rpm. After 150 miles, one day it just decides to idle at 1.5k rpm. Idling at 1.5k rpm I found that it was alot easier and smoother to drive. Today I let my friend (another guy who owns a 350) drive it and now it idles back at little bit less than 1k rpm. Now my car seems harder to drive. And the tranny seems to be messed up and the shifter feels like theres something stuck in it. Does anyone know what happened to my car?!

Your idle should not be at 1500 rpm all the time. When you first start the car, it should idle high for a bit until it starts to warm up. It should settle into an idle somewhere less than 1000 rpm, but I'm not sure exactly where as I've never paid much attention to mine. I think mine is somewhere around 800 rpm, but I'll have to double check.

Regarding the tranny problems, you might want to let the dealer take a look at it. If your friend was slamming the gears, I think its possible that a shift fork could have been bent. This only applies if the shifter doesn't have some kind of positive stops to prevent this, and I don't know if the 350z shifter has this. Most stock shifters don't as far as I know.
