Lightbulb Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil

Hey Everyone,

I have been reading about the Synthetic oil from Mobil 1, from what I read it seems like a good deal. It should improve engine life, quality, etc. It isnt expensive at all, could be a good investment.

Anyone have experience with this oil on their Z and can say it is better? Has anyone also used their oil filter?

Can u even put it on the Z?

I heard u should also change ur oil after 600 miles.

Mobil 1 is but one of many options and is generally considered a notch down in quality compared to some others. Suggest you do a search on synthetic oils and review the multitude of posts on this topic.

i have used Mobil 1 and Castrol Syntec in my other cars. Honestly, can't tell the difference during daily driving. Some people are believers in Amsoil and Redline..etc. I liked Mobil 1 and have never had any problem with it.

i can tell the difference between mobile one and the stuff you get put in regularly. the idle is lower and more contact...the engine seems like it's running smoother...all in all...it just feels more lubed up. i say "go for it". i got the 5 quart jug for 18 bucks. stop by kmart! haha. so much trash there...but, they have the oil for the best price (well, from what i found).

You must use oil with API grade SG/SH, Energy Conserving I & II or API grade SJ or SL, Energy Conserving I with 5W-30 preferred and 10W-30 or 10W-40 acceptable if minimum operating temperature is above 0 degrees F.
This is the information they supply to vehicle owners. If they decided to specify only one oil, they would have to supply it free during warranty period and they obviously don't want to do that!!!!
