Default bird crap eats though my paint... WTF?

I've owned MANY cars be fore the Z. All of them have been $hit on by birds. Sometimes I even left the crap on for days before wiping it off... the paint was always fine.

Now withmy Z apparently a bird $hit on my car and ate ALL the way through the clearcoat... Looks like a "crackel" finish. It;s ablut the size of a half dollar.

Dealer said"sorry bro... it;s an enviromental cause... no warranty coverage"

I'm like WTF?? the car is 9 mo. old and a bird craps and it eats the paint??!! What the hell kind of cheap paint is Nissan using??

all 7 of my other cars in the past show NO signs of bird crap....

Had the same problem with my Z (color black). The difference is that it was at the dealers being fixed. See my posting of drivetrain problems. The buffed the hood but the paint is lifting. Just like you said it ate into the clear coat. The only difference is the dealers fixing mine. I just dont get it with Nissan any more.

Its a good idea to wax your Z often. I do it twice a month. I had bird droppings on my hood and cleaned it off in one day. No damage to clearcoat or paint.

Zaino sucks I think its overrated. Does Zaino have alot of oils? When I apply Black Magic "Liquid Wax"the paint is very slippery. Its synthetic, lasts longer then Carnauba.

Zaino isn't Carnauba and you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. You think it is overrated and yet you are asking questions about it. Read the Zaino website if you want info you dolt, it has been top rated by like 15 reputable magazines and won out over 40+ other waxes in a comparison!

on topic...I have the same problem with bird ***** though, it seems to depend on concentration. Sometimes it stains within a day, sometimes it is there for a few days with no ill effects. It depends on how thick it is, etc.

Seems to leave a sort of etching on my clearcot that I have been able to buff out so far.

This paint is about as sturdy as wet tissue paper. I've honestly never seen the like. I've also scratched it with my fingernail by accident, and my nails are really short! It seems like anything will put scratches in the clear coat, including my Nissan car cover, which is cleaned regularly and put on and taken off very carefully.

sorry I don't agree with that.... my 99 Ford Ranger has had bird $hit on it for WEEKS before I decided to wipe it off.... when I finally did the paint was fine.

I wait one hour to wipe it fromt he Z and the clearcoat is etched...

"welcome to life" ?! I think you mean... "welcome to $hitty Nissan paint"

Super black here ... I had bird poop etch my paint after being on the car for less than 8 hours ... i also had 4 or 5 layers of wax on. Hey, what can you do? The car is not going to be perfect and will show it's age ... eventually.
