"drive train lash"?
Hi All,
As some may know I am on my 2nd 350Z with 650 miles on it now.(original one totaled in accident)
Apart from the alignment problem(repaired),misbalanced wheels(done twice) I have noticed a definite "swoosh"type sound when shifting from 1st to 2nd.Service manager explains this as being "drive train lash" that is not harmful, known to Nissan and peculiar to our vehicles. My first Z was flawless, had no such noise and handled a lot better.
What gives?....maybe there was a prolonged "sake" break when they manufactured my 2nd car
