Default Car problem need help.

I have an 03 350z. Every time I turn the ignition on, the car starts fine but it idles way down and sometimes it shuts off. It does not happen at all times but recently it's been happening more often. Any advice on what could be the problem. My car is stock.

if the idle hunts (moves around, sounds like you've got huge cams), then you might have a vacuum leak on the intake / plenum.

You think that's the problem? Thanks.

might be, at least it's an inexpensive first step to check

open the hood and then have someone start the car (or start it and run around) and listen for high whistling sounds coming from anywhere along the intake / plenum area. That'll be a dead giveaway.

Took the car to my dad's mechanic told him about the problem and told him it might be a vaccuum leak, left the car there he fixed it within 2hrs. When I came back the car was good, he said was a vaccuum leak. Problem solve.

Gotcha. Glad you got it fixed. I was hoping we could've known what the exact problem source was. It could've helped someone out in the future. Maybe next time. Thanks for responding...
