I got out of work tonight, started my z, put into reverse and .... rpm won't go over 1500. No "check engine" light, never had any issues before. Luckily I work across the street from Nissan dealership. So basically I crawled there doing 3mph, and left it there.
Anybody has any ideas what could it be?
Just so you know it's 2007 base 6MT. All stock (except for the Kenwood radio)

Did you try killing it and restarting it a few more times?

Not sure how it works on the Z but in my 2001 Audi A4 that would do it.

 

Tried restarting it, tried letting the engine warm up. Also plugged the code reader, no CEL'S.

 

Just talked to a dealer. Complete computer failure, they need to order on and replace it. Looks like I'll be crusin in a Altima for a few days.

total computer failure? Sounds like ******** honestly, they probably couldn't find anything wrong so they are starting the process of elimination. We'll see how things work out...
