haha i somehow found this thread, and i realized that I had said i would update 2 years later....so...here i am

its been about 2 years since I've had the duralast gold in my car. everything is still working fine. Every once in a while, the turning takes a bit before ignition starts, but aside from that, its been good.

hopefully this helps anyone who is looking up for a new battery. however i might try a Bosch battery next.

^^bump! I just bought a Duralast battery at Autozone for $100. I exchanged my old for the new, and saved like $12.99 It took me 10 min to install it.
I had my OEM battery that lasted more than seven years.

Top of his post, Bosch is available through Pep-boys.

I'm loving my Optima 51R. Smaller/lighter than the OEM with more power.

Have you had any issues with the Optima? How long have you been running it?

I've had the Duralast Gold close to 2 yrs now and no issues at all. I've gone up to 3 months w/o starting the car and it'll start on the first crank. I've had every Optima you can think of and for some odd reason they won't last me more than a year. I'm currently upgrading my system so I want something that will power everything up perfectly and not give me any issues. I was looking into the Interstate but after Ronn1's post I'm contemplating once again.

Ronn1 how's the battery working out for you?

Randomly came upon this thread that I started 7 years ago.

Just as an update, my duralast gold battery is now done. Having trouble starting up. I havent't started the car in about a month so I know that's part of the problem, but i'm having trouble starting it even with a jumpstarter.

I think 7 years is good enough time on the battery anyway. I will probably be buying this again
