Default Gas Milage Depleting Rapidly, False Gas Reading. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I'm at the gas station put a full tank of gas in but gauge never reads full. Gas meter also goes up and down. Was able to get 350 miles + on one tank of gas now just over 250 MILES ON ONE FULL TANK OF GAS. Whats the problem do in need a new fuel filter? TSB problem? Please Help me!

Default I love this site

I have the same prob and did a specific search on here. Apparently its a common prob with our Z's. A guy on here took it ot the dealer & it turned out to be 2 sensors that needed replacing. I just found the answer to your same question tonight and I hope I wasnt too vague with my answer. Good luck

I have a similar problem. When Im filling up, sometime I cant put more then 1/2 to 3/4 of a tank of gas in. I Z's come with a 20 1/8 gal tank, the most I have ever gotten in my tank was 10 gal. The gauge works fine though. When I'm filling up, the pump stops like im full and i can stand there and "click" all day and it appears to be full.

there is a tsb out for your problem its a small valve in the filler tube that closes too quick. The parts are like $12 and it take about a hour to install.

I had the same problem. They replaced both sending units. It took them several tried to figure out the problem. There is a main tank and a spare. each has a sending unit.

MIne does the same excat thing....I allways get it to work though. You just have to hold the gas trigger like half way and sometimes turn the pump to the left or right and angle it.....its a bit aggervating at times but it works lol.
