Default No luck resetting airbag light? Any ideas??

I just reinstalled my passenger seat after my track day. I thought I would only need to do the ECU reset procedure to turn off the airbag light. No such luck. I know I am going into diagnostic mode because of the blinking CEL. Then I hold the gas pedal down for 10+ seconds to erase all the codes, but no such luck. The airbag light is still blinking. Any ideas how to reset it?

LOL, for $50 I'll just let it blink. My seat is gonna come out every month for track days, so it's not worth it.

you are following wrong procedures

those are for clearing CEL.. not airbag light...

to clear the airbag you need to do something different.. see top of FSM page SRS-19

Sweet, that worked. I feel stupid because I actually found that in another part of the manual, but it only said "Repeat Steps 1-3 twice" so I thought that meant do it 2 times and I couldn't get it to work. On this page though, they add "three times in total." Worked like a charm.

Thanks a bunch!!!

Any chance you can post the instructions? I may have this problem in the future and I don't have the FSM.

Thanks!

1. Turn ignition switch from off to on.
2. Within 1 second of airbag light turnin off (about 7 seconds) turn ignition to off.
3. Wait at least 3 seconds.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 twice more for a total of 3 times
5. Turn ignition on now and you are in diagnostic mode
6. Now all you have to do is turn off the ignition for at least one second, then back on and the code should be cleared.

In reference to step 2, I dont think my airbag light turns off, I know it doesnt stop blinking while driving but maybe if the motor wasnt started and ignition just in the on position it will turn off? I will check when I go out to my car. Thanks for posting the instructions up.
