help asp strange noise from engine

Today when i was coming home from work my car started to make a strange noise from the engine it sounds like a clicking and a rattling,its coming from the intake manifold and engine cover please help.

had the car about 3 years bought it used its a 2003

Miles? Any other symptoms - leaks, smoke, low oil, low coolant, low PS fluid, low.....

You get the idea....

My ticking started around 75k. It was consistent with the rpms. I'm sure it was the lifters. Engine was shot at 107k. Had it replaced about a month ago.
