I had mine replace about one month ago with version 8. Now when shifting hard at the redline I can't get it to go into 2nd gear. I don't even get a chance to release the clutch pedal. I just pull through from 1st to 2nd and grind but won't even go into 2nd. Dealership told me no warranty on this new tranny because I used the tilton setup. So now what?

Vin last 3 digits # 313 - Transmission replaced mid May '04 at 18k miles at Maroone Nissan Miami, Florida.

Grinded into 3th when shifting quick. Won't grind if you really baby it which is not the reason why people buy a "performance" car. So far this is my 1 replace and seems to be ok. Have to give it more shifts to be certain. Fingers crossed. I have lost all confidence in the design, quality and most of all the trust in Nissan and their dealer network. Sad that this fine Japanese car company is now owned by French Renault. Need I say more?

Renault only owns 43% of Nissan....

Futhermore...you have one trans go bad, they replace it UNDER WARRANTY and now you've "lost all faith"??

I don't think that people realize that when you buy a first model year of a car....chances are it WILL have things wrong with it. This is true for cars from ANY car manufacturer in the world.

Had mine replaced @ 34,000K. When they replaced my Transmission they had to also replace part of the clutch. The new Transmission is great.

2003 350Z - VIN 4,2xx

Tranny replaced at 16,500 miles on 5/10/2004.

Replaced with:

Transmission: 32010-CD008
Disc Assy-Clutch: 30100-CD019
Pedal Assy Clutch: 46503-CD010
Rod Assy Push: 306310CD000

New setup is excellent after a week. No grinding at all. The only difference is the catch point of the clutch is higher from the floor than the one that came from the factory. Thank you Nissan!

but I didn't here anything about the auto tranny.

Has anyone had any problems with their auto?

You guys that are having these transmissions replaced. Could you discribe the problem. Are these trans obvious about having a problem or is this just a speed shifting problem? More detail would really help.

Mine is being replaced as I speak....23,000 Kms (which seems to be a magic number (14000 to 16000 miles). Delivered March 03. Fifth gear went - crunched if you changed too fast- definitly a synchro problem. Nissan have been good free car while it has been done.

Hey there killer (recently seperated Marine here).

My issue slowly showed itself. The 3rd gear grind. If I granny shifted and gave the tranny plenty of time to disengage, it would go real smooth. Problem is, that is not normal shifting as there was a large pause while shifting. ?If i was shifting hard in a race, I would be lucky to hit 3rd gear ... it would grind. If I shifted normal with no pause, it would catch about half the time. I just got tired of it, put together my list of needed fixes and dropped the car off for a week.
