Default Late '03 Z's Paint

Do the late model '03's have paint chipping problems still?

Should I definitly invest in getting a 3m clearbra?

Well my brickyard was built 03/03. I have 1 chip (covered nicely with touch up) that is right on the edge where the fender meets the driver side head light. The chip is in an area that would not have been covered by a standard clear bra installation. I have the OEM bra on the front so I can't really say if chipping is less on mine -vs- an earlier one. I can say that I stay way back on the freeway, completely avoid being behind SUV's, trucks & semi's but if I get stuck I stay way, way back (usually about 15 or 20 car lengths) and someone else will always cut in front to take on those nasty freeway rock slinging beasts. I'm sure this didn't help you. BTW, I am going to install the clear bra in the near future, even on my own rock slinging big a** SUV.

All new cars have this for the last few years. The manuf. use a different paint due to the EPA. I think they are using watercolors now.
