ACK! My front cup holder is stuck in! lol. It's not flush against the dash, it's pushed in slightly and won't come out. I do not want to take a flathead screwdriver wrapped in a shirt to it so I think I'm going to wait until I drive to college and go to the dealer there and ask them to help me out. My local nissan said it should be covered under warranty, wish me luck..
I like the cup/water bottle holder--use it all the time. It seems flimsy and likely to break at some point but works so far.
My instinct would be to push/pull shake anything to get it unstuck. If I did this I would probably break it and then the dealer wouldn't cover it under warrantee.
I'm glad you have the patience to let the dealer take the risk of breaking/replacing it.

Yep, took that risk and they've ordered the part to replace it. But they did at least manage to get it to come out a lil bit, although it doesn't extend and unfold open.

The front cup holder is useless. It's design could have been done by a mechanical engineer on LSD. Leave it in and don't drink in the car. I find it reduces spills.

the cup holder, in my daughter's opinion is "pretty cheesy".
Remember, in Japan, they use small cups- Coke comes in little cans. In Phoenix, 44 ounces is regular and the Big Gulp is, I think( a half gallon... or about 4 pounds)-- not really suited to the little cup holder assembly.
I would try wiggling side to side while pulling gently- sounds like the bottom hinge jammed in the bottom of the well. OR, let the dealer do it (less risk).

John, yes it's been fixed, but thanks. And to your daughter: I love that cupholder :-( The other two are much too inconvenient.
I usually only keep those half liter water bottles in it or maybe the occasional cherry coke. For the big gulps, I use the big refillable mugs and keep it in my lap :-)
Now, to tackle that window grease issue...
