is anyone besides my getting a squeek coming from the hatch when going over bumps in the road? it's a pretty loud/annoying squeek and I don't even know how I would go about fixing it.

 

yeah i have the same thing, sounds like an old bed that you get out of. I have no idea what it is but i hate it and its embarrising

 

Happens to mine when it's been sitting in the sun. Sounds like the rubber on top rubbing against the roof.

 

There is a DIY in this forum on how to fix it. You just have to take off the plastic and move the latch hook up towards the front of the car and put a dab of grease on it. it will come back eventually ive heard. Also, bang on your rear bumper with your fist in a couple spots. I had a squeak coming from the panel which i had to fix.... sounded just like the squeak in the trunk.

 

Mine has the same annoying squeeking noise coming from the hatch I thought it would probably be the trunk latch and so I took some paper towels and folded it over a couple times and stuck over the latch area and then shut it and it stopped the noise. Now, how to really fix the problem instead of riggin it...I don't know but please tell me! and tell me what are the best hatch shocks because I have the veilside spoiler and it's heavy as hell!
