Default Removing the ac air vent cover

I droped a few items inside the center air vent and now I want to get those items out. Is there a way to open the air vent cover?

I had a cell phone holder clipped to the vent but somehow the arms that attached to the vent went all the way into the vent and I wasn't able to take it out so I detached the arms from the body of the holder and it both dropped down into the vent.

Worse part is when I turn on the a/v the stupid arms come flying up towards the top of the vent. They sometimes even block the vent from completely moving!

Pretty funny and pretty annoying!
