what oil should i use 5w40 10w40??
also oil filter, anything special?

Did you just start a "Best motor oil thread?" Shame on you.

 

For this time of year, it is suggest by most auto places to use 10-40 not 5-40. Try to save the thinner stuff for the warmer weather.

 

Does your 'O6 have the oil-consumption issue? IF it does, a heavier (i.e. thicker) oil is in order, till you get the problem fixed. Also, check the oil level more often--say, 2-3 times a week. BTW, thicker oil is used during warm weather; thinner oil for cold weather, for obvious reasons.
