Default Brake pedal spongy after bleeding...

So it was time for my yearly bleeding. but this year i decided to pamper myself and buy one of the motive brake bleeders. After i did the bleed my pedal goes 3/4 to the floor before I feel substancial braking force. It will build pressure with pumping both engine on and off but the pressure soon goes away without constant braking. There are no leaks in the system.
One thing i did notice is before the motive bleeder refilled there was air in the feeder hose for the master cylinder. If it was enough air to drain the master cylinder resvoir and some air was inadvertantly sucked in, how would you bleed the master cylinder, and ABS system? also is this likely whats wrong?

I did bleed the system again and the results are the same. This latest time I put approx. 1.5 liters through the system. What gives?

you mistakenly used water instead of brake fluid.

it happens.

Couple of things to try... are you bleeding them in the right order, these cars arent bled in the normal way, furthers away from the MC to closest? and when you do bleed them tap the calipers with a rubber mallet as air sometimes gets trapped.

Sounds like a pressure bleed is needed.

They were bled in the order specified in the service manual. I'll try the rabber mallet idea tonight. As for pressure bleeding, they are being bled with the motive system at 15 psi. Or is there a higher psi servicing tool that your refering to?
