Anyone know where I can buy a non expensive low profile floor jack? I want to do an oil change onn my Z and the standard jack that I have wont fit. Autozone doesnt have one. ;(

Check out Northern Tool's website.....Low profile jack for $109 plus shipping...Probably something you wouldn't want to use everyday but good enough for a oil change every now and then...Good luck

Unless you are lowered the Sears Craftsman will work. $30 I think.

I picked up an Arcan XL35 low profile jack for $100 from Costco...it's exactly the same as this one from Northern Tool, http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/w...5429_200345429

Very high quality and it's only 3.5in tall at the lifting point

You need ramps. Nobody makes a floor jack low enough and long enough to fit under the front center lift point to be able to lift the front end that way. If you're going to lift it from both sides, then what's the need for a low profile jack as any will do. Plus, if you're going to lift it from the sides then ramps would be easier and safer.

+1 on the ramps. I use 2x4's to get on the ramps so I wont scrape. Same if I use a jack.

Default You definitely want ramps

Don't want to sound like a doomsayer, but I saw a buddy get crushed to death when his car fell off of the jack on him while he was under it.

That was a long time ago, but it still haunts me. Please use a good ramp.

I was giving him the benefit of a doubt that he was going to jack it and put it on stands. You definitely don't want to buy a non expensive jack then bet your life on it by getting under the car with that being it's only support.
