this bugs the hell outs of me.
is there anywhere to buy new buttons?
or mask and paint it?

ANY ADVICE WILL BE APPRECIATED....

I'm sure it could be painted but I don't know how durable the finish would be. I've also seen homelink rear view mirrors for sale on ebay on many occasions, so replacing it is always an option.

just take it to a dealership or order a new mirror from courtesy nissan online.
buttons alone aren't available - i think the dealership would probably just swap out the whole mirror anyway

Buy a new mirror or get it warranty if ur Z still haz one.. GL! That is an eye sore though..

yeah ur best bet is to replace the whole mirror.. try to touch up paint it maybe??

that happens, cause our cars come with the old style buttons.........where the button is white, and the black is painted ON, less the house symbol.....

So over time, the black just wears off.......sucks..because of this, i often switch my main button around......but it still happens...

Gonna try the painting technique cuz I just missed on the bay for 19.99... Ugh

good luck w/ the mirror, I know how much it sucks to have something that you look at constantly being a little off from the rest of the car. My front bumper has some spider cracking from someone bumping the front end :-/
