Default My headlights are shot.. can anyone help?

My 350z was previously a florida car and the sun apparently baked the headlights. they are discolored and have TONS of spider cracks. Apparently this is somewhat common but mine are really bad.
The rest of the car is immaculate so it didnt turn me off at the time of purchase. Now that I have seen the cost of new headlights, im turned off

Im wondering- If I take some non-HID lights and heat them up and remove the lens, I should be able to transplant it. Anyone have a cheap set FS? Any other ideas?

Your options seem to be:

03-05 Non-HIDs for $200-$300
03-05 HIDs for $300-$400
06+ Bi-Xenons for $500-$1400

Just buy a used set from the classifieds here and call it a day.

If you want to just replace the clear lenses, you could always buy an inexpensive set of headlights off of ebay and bake both sets then transplant the lenses.

If you do buy non HID's and you currently have HID's, they are a b!ch to swap out because the connector doesn't exactly fit. You can either cut and splice the wires back, or try the bake & swap method on the lens itself.

For about $20 you can also try something like PlasticX. A few people here seems to have had good results with it, but it didn't work for me.

PlastX will work great for hazing but it will not fix the cracks.
