Default ISSUE!!! with my 04 Roadster

So here's the problem:

( Not touching the clutch or shifting, just cruising ) Driving at about 70mph in 6th gear, then I start to lose power and the "SLIP" light is blinking, step on the clutch to re-engage and still, down shift to 5th and it's still blinking, then it just get power/engage or watever again. All taking place in a matter of 20-30sec. Sometimes I'm going as slow as 50mph.

So here's the question:

What do you guys think it could be?

Anyone else had this problem?

Here's what I did:
Took it to the shop, it's under warrenty and should be checked out tomorrow, so hopefully I only paid the deductible.

Bad wheel speed sensor or ECU problem.

Yes, somebody has probably had it or something similar.

Looks like you're on the way to getting it fixed.

BTW - what size tires do you have on the car, F & R?

I'm kinda new to the whole car thing, but do you think changing wheel/tires and affect this? It only starting happening after I changed out the rims

I recently changed out my 17" rims Front 225/50/17 Rear 245/50/17 to
some of my friend 19" rims Front 245/35/19 Rear 275/35/19

Go to the Wheels & Tires thread. Search there & you will find your answer.

The change in size shouldn't have been a problem. 245/275 is the "standard" size combo so it should keep VDC/TCS happy.

Even a bad size combo wouldn't cause the constant and repeated failure that you're describing.

You could put the 17's back on and drive it for a while and see if the problem still occurs. If it does, I would suspect a wheel speed sensor is bad.

I made a mistake it's actually 275/30/19 in the rear, maybe that's the problem, well I'm going to pick it up from the shop and put the 17" back on to see if it goes away. Hopefully it's just that and nothing major. The shop couldn't deplicate the problem and wants me to deplicate it with the tech in there. But I told them I'll just pick it up and see if the problem goes away with the 17"
