Thumbs down Problem after problem....

Well my ses light turned on yesterday, car has 92,xxx miles so i took it to autozone to see what it was, well they told me it was the 02 senors.....

anyways on top of that idk what is wrong with the car, at a cold start it won't start....it'll crank but it won't start!! so that eliminates the possibility that its the starter, so what could it be????!!

MAF??, spark plugs??, injectors???

just give me any suggestions what it might be.....

(only three months with the damn car.....)

At 92k miles what do you expect off course problems will start to arise!! What are the codes that came up?

Really??

My 10 year old Acura 3.2 TL with 200k on the odometer has not
given me any issues since day one. The ONLY part I replaced was
the t-body (for the tp sensor) at 185k.

My 1991 Legend with 125k is still running strong as well...

When you say cold, I take it that you mean over-night cold? Not parked for a few hours cold? Of course if the ambient temperature is 5 degrees, then a few hours will have the same affect as over-night. The reason I ask is that when it is over-night cold, the system is in open loop, meaning it is not even using o2 sensor data so they should not have any affect on starting the engine.

well see i tried this morning (overnight) and it didn't start, but yesterday at work (befor the ses light turned on) i only left the car sitting there for 30min, before the previous time i turned it on, and it did the same thing.

so answer to your question is both overnight and after just sitting there for a while.

Then I would say that your problem is not o2 related but rather something
else and possibly not even sensor related. Someone can correct me if I am wrong but my understanding is when the car is in open loop, the computer is
ignoring sensor data and operating in a predefined a/f curve. Only after the engine warms up will the computer cycle to closed loop and use sensor data to adjust the a/f.

just because the codes are saying theres a problem with O2's doesnt necessarily means the O2s are the problem. @ 90k its not a bad idea to change them. Theres a reason places charge diagnostic time.

Could be the O2, cats, ecu, bad connection/wires.

well i'm going to get a diagnostic tomorrow instead of just getting a read from autozone, i also cleaned the maf with the cleaner to see if that was it so far it hasn't come on but of course it doesn't mean that it will not turn on again....

but for sure i'll find out tomorrow....
