Default No more honk when I lock the doors!

Hey guys quick question i had a problem not to long ago that i droped my wireless entry remote into water and it stoped working so i had to use the key for like a week till i got my new one once i recived it i programed the new remote everything worked find lock/unlock trunk open and panic but when i hit the lock button the car dosnt honk anymore not to big of a deal but its a lil annoying when i forget to lock the car and i go inside my house and i have to walk out to make sure it locks lol can anyone help me???

Try holding the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob for like 5 seconds.

ill give it a shot in 10 mins its raining outside lol any other suggestions i also reset the computer (unplugged the battery) as well no help

Yeah, you can turn it back off by doing the same thing. Great for sneaking back in the house late at night. Lol

you don't need to honk your frikkin horn when you lock your car any damn way. I hate when ****s do that.

I just switched mine to "no honk" mode. Much better. Thanks guys for the info

sometimes we aren't close enough to the car to realize if it was locked or not and the sound is the extra reassurance that people need.

I have an alarm system so mine just emits a tiny chirp that wouldn't bother neighbors, just wanted to chime in.

It's also designed to help you locate your car in a large parking area.

Ever leave a concert at night? I use it all the time.

with window down, i lock the door with the remote, unlock it by hand .. then open the door .. the alarm does not go off .. how to fix ? thanks

i'm having the same problems too... even with the windows up...

i get out of the car, lock it with the remote... wait more than 30 seconds (when the alarm's supposed to be fully functional)... and unlock the door with the key and open the door... the alarm doesn't sound... what's up with that?

Just did the two button trick on my 03 Touring, worked great, no more loud HONK everytime I lock the car. My neighbors cat thanks you
