Hi, my passenger side window had been acting funny (similar symptom as what was described by many owners in the sticky thread) for a few month and the window is now stuck in the up position. (i can barely open the passenger door without damage to the glass). When I press the window switch, all I get is an audible click. So the problem is with the window motor assembly (I presume), right?

Anyhow, the link to the parts for window motor in the sticky is no longer valid. So is the window motor a generic model or is it specific for the Z? thanks

 

You can get the window motor from autozone.. part # 471377. It has a lifetime warranty also. Price is (was) something like $135, but I can't remember if that is before or after the core charge.

 

It's before the core, and Autozone guys are pretty helpful. Any generic brand is fine as long as the part is for the 350z.
