Default Carbon Build-up

So I went in for my 15,000 mile oil change and the service guy recommended geting my fuel injectors cleaned...

Was going to cost $150.

I told him I was going to wait on it to see what your feed back was.

All I have done to the car for the last 15,000 miles is change the oil and filter every 3,000 miles

I personally think its a waste of money for the cleaning considering I use Shell V power which is supposidly supposed to do the same thing, and drive my car pretty hard, really getting the tach up to the 7,500 RPM mark every now and then, which should keep the carbon from forming.

What do you think? Did you get it done?

Just because I recommend you buy new brake calipers doesn't mean you need them.

I think it may also depend if you run the car low on gas alot. That may cause some dirt which he may or may not have noticed somehow.

How would he have noticed? Were their ECU codes related to clogged injectors? Did he actually take the injectors off and flow test them?

umm.. the in pump fuel filter is for this i would not worry so much about "dirt" in the tank getting through the pump-filter-rails-injectors. In fact i would assume that it would be rust if anything thats if our tanks are metal? seriously i wouldn't worry about cleaning the injectors i am at 70k and have never done this. Plus the service manual says to never run fuel cleaners/injector cleaners per nissan. On top of this if its not broke don't fix it.
