Default clutch feels depressed

my clutch feels depressed. it happened about 3 hours ago. I was going home and noticed i felt different, im still able to drive it. I push it and it goes in like 1/2" - 1" and am still able to shift. i already had my slave cylinder replaced once under the recall. im thinking it could be that, or maybe clutch fluid?

should i take it to nissan? im also due for an oil change (3k miles/3month) if that means anything. also this is my first manual transmission car, i thought for a second maybe the clutch could be going out.

thanks.

It's an 07 Z. These Z's were the one's that had the recall, and I had mine done maybe about a year ago.

Okays. So today I tried to start my car and leave, i noticed the clutch felt depressed even more. on top of that, when i started my car i couldnt get out of first, and back into neutral or reverse. I decided to stop my car, since it was on a flat surfact i tried to put in netural again, which i was able to do so, and now its just sitting on my driveway with the handbrake. clutch burnt out?

sounds like the slave

clutch fluid is easy to check - its a sealed system so if it were gone, you would see the puddle under the car

Damn. What would it feel like if the clutch was burnt out? and how long do you think an average clutch lasts(i know it varies)? my car has 22k miles on it.

no one can tell you how long it will last - it depends on how it's driven. I could kill a clutch, even a brand new triple disk, etc etc, in an afternoon if I had my heart set on doing it

Nissan may give you another slave cylinder if it has been less than 12 months-12,000 miles. Clutch wear is on your dime. Good luck.

just pull the clutch pedal back up with your left foot.... the pedal sinks when the fluid gets hot (ie. traffic, or drifting)... the pedal won't come back up when the fluid cools down.. you just have to pull it back up... then you'll be as good as normal..
