is this normal? its an 06.

Its normal for almost any car, the cats have to warm up before they burn up any unspent fuel.

all right thanks. I just got a little worried because it was stronger than i would usually smell from other cars....i guess it the cold weather

04 and 08 does it aswell apparently they burn rich on startup im pretty sure its normal. does yours idle alot higher at this time aswell?

it is normal at colder temps. it idles high to warm the engine faster. and, like the post above stated, the fuel smell is coming through the exhaust b/c the cats aren't up to temp yet.

its obvious. not only for the machine you own but any which runs on fuel. this is caused because of the warming up of cats.
