Fuel System Leak(Possibilities)

CEL came on for the first time since Iv had the car, went to advanced Auto to get a diagnoses and it came back with a possibly fuel system leak.
Possible causes they gave me were
Faulty fuel cap
Purge system leak
Faulty canister vent control valve
Faulty purge control valve
I got my oil changed today at a local shop thats done all my body work(I have free oil change at dealership but my car is to low and they are to careless for me to want to take it there anymore). I finally switched over to synthetic oil (not sure if dealership uses it by default)But Im not sure if it was just a coincidence or if something happened during the process.
My question is: During the oil change process, if anyone knows the parts stated above, are any of the parts in close proximity to where you tinker while changing the oil?
I checked out thsi thread since it had one of the possibles on it but it was fine. At least from what my eyes could see..but honestly ranking my engine bay knowledge from 1-10 its like a 2. It looked connected thats what I saw.

I also checked my fuel cap...that was actually screwed in all weird, not sure what I was thinking when I pumped gas last time. It was screwed in sideways, not with the threads at all. I put that back correctly and that didnt help either.

As inconvenient as it might be, you should take it back to the shop that changed your oil and explain the problem....but not until you make sure you still have oil in the engine. Do you know how to check your oil ?
Easy way to reset your ECU is disconnect your negative battery terminal for a minute or two and reconnect it.
If you've already reset your ECU and tighten your gas cap then your problem is elsewhere in the EVAP system. What exactly was the code anyway?

I cant tell if your being a smartass by that last sentence...its that stick with the yellow handle under the hood right...
I suppose that could be a legit question though
I do plan on going back there in the morning though, thats for sure.

Did you reset the ECU after you fixed your fuel cap insertion? If so, reset it and drive it for a day or two. If it doesn't come back on then it was your fuel cap not being tighten incorrectly.

Looks like it was the fuel cap...I put that thing on correctly last night and halfway to work today the CEL went off.
Farmer: I didnt have a chance to unplug the neg side of my battery to reset the ECU. Im assuming the cars computer detected, determined, whatever, that it was finally screwed in correctly.
I appreciate everyones feedback, I really didnt expect much in terms of replies when I first posted, thanks again.
