Default is the window seal replaceable?

03 coupe, the plastic seal which butts up against the window has cracked up where it connects to the metal roof. as a result there is wind noise and water getting into the car.

its not a matter of the window not sealing, as it is, the leak is above that.

I cannot seem to find a replacement part for this though.

I assume its the weatherstrip, not the retainer? I didnt realize it was all 1 peice running down the pillar, but thats fine, just want to be sure.

any hints, will I need any of the other bits? am I likely to break anything? I know alot of the plastic peices are pretty brittle after 8 years.

Ive contacted several sites and nissan they all say they dont sell that piece.... Anyone out there replace you seals on the roof pillar down to the hood?

Looking to replace the rubber seals around outside A-pillars, wiper valance, and around windshield. It seems all the 350Zs I've looked at have the same problem. thanks

yes the interior seal along the pillars is replaceable. it pulls right off of the metal bracing it's attached to. the windshield seals I believe are glued in and can only be replaced with a new window. the small thin trim along the roof beside the a pillars is attached to the a pillars all along it and follows the pillars to beside the windshield. So to replace the small thin trim and trip on the right and left side of the windshield, you would have to replace the a pillars. and the trim along the top of the windshield can only be replaced when new windshield is installed. I hope that helped? let me know

Thanks, that's what I found out also, close to 300.00 per side for the outside A-pillar. I see most Zs have the same problem; I'm surprised no one has come up with a cheaper way to fix this. I'll keep looking, may find other cars with the same rubber seal that can be had cheaper.

Default New rubber seals!

I GOT THE A PILLAR WEATHERSTRIP THAT NO ONE ELSE HAS! I just repainted my car and took it all apart to do the paint job. When I went to put the a pillars back on I noticed how bad the weatherstrip was. As I looked online for a new weatherstrip I found many are looking for these but no one had them anywhere.

I made this weatherstrip for the 350Z a pillars! Very close to original. See the attached pictures!

Picture #1 shows the weather strip installed

Picture #2 shows the sealing and angles of the new rubber

Picture #3 shows the channel the a pillars sit in to keep the weather strip secure without having to glue it in, but we do recommend you do glue the new seal to the a pillar only! Do NOT glue the seal to your roof or window!

Picture #4 shows the difference in size between the old and new seals. Beware the new seal is slightly different in size.

I do not think you will not find anything closer to original than these! They are not half ***! They fit great and they are easy to install. They work excellent and look like new!

Any Questions? Email me at aicsusa@yahoo.com

Thank you for reading my post!

Several people have already asked me if I will make more of these for them. The answer is Yes! I will make more if someone wants to buy them!
