Took my car to the sealership this past Saturday and after long debt they finally came to the conclusion that it is one of the Fuel sending sensors so since they don't know which one it is they are going to replace both of them....so hopefully my car will be back to normal they this weekend.. Crossing my fingers

Hey you guys, I just got my car back from the dealership today they replaced out both fuel sending units works like a charm. Thank God i got the extended coverage. The job retails for close to $600.00 dollars each sending unit is $108.00x2 and labor is $384.00. This is a problem that nissan is not aware of so before you guys fix it call Nissan care and report this problem and maybe it will be free to other Z owners. If you would like to email direct to ask questions about this problem that cursed me for over 1 year send me a message and I will be more than happy to help

Did this the other day which took 15 minutes. Very easy to do. I used electronic sensor cleaner with the q-tips and the fuel gauge has never been more accurate. Just awesome!

I experience the problem with my fuel gauge, but intermittently and only with a faulty “low-end” sensor. The” high-end” gauge is accurate.

The peculiar thing is that the gauge shows empty (which is not accurate) and the DTE warning flashes (which is not accurate), but the value shown is often 160 miles or better (which is accurate).

I have not repaired this yet because the labor cost is huge.
