Default AUto transmission doesn't down shift, doesnt hold RPMs higher than 4.5k

Can anyone help? Monday ill take it to the shop to get it checked but until then can anyone help.

I have an 05 Z automatic 35th anniversary. This has started happening for about a month now. The car feels so much slower. Basically cruising on 5th gear and if i slam the gas it doesnt shift down anymore, just stays in 5th. Also it doesnt hold gears long enough to reach even 5k rpms...

In at 36k miles. I havent had the fluid replaced but ill have it done on monday at z garage in san jose. Also is it better to flush transmission fluid or just drain and refill?

Can anyone suggest anything? I havent been driving it hard at all.

Thanx

a flush is better, but when the fluid costs like 1X$+ a quart it can get expensive. a lot of shops struggle to flush it as well, they can only drain out X amount of quarts without the proper tools, so you may just be replacing as much as you can.

too me this doesn't sound like a fluid issue, but for your sake I hope it is that simple. good luck!

Sounds like the transmission is broken. 60 months is the drive train under warranty? Nissan may give you a new one.
