failed window?
hi there can anyone help here got a 2004 softop 350z and today one of the windows would not go back up !it went down ok when roof was down but now dead so what to i check for? had to strip door a part to get window back up
so if anyone has had this fault before and can help that would be great.
Same EXACT! thing happen to me. My passenger side window has always went down a little slower than the passenger side. I put the windows down to install some speakers and make sure they dont clip. But they never went back up.
OP, how did you pull up the mirrors, you unscrewed that inner panel, and just pushed them up literally?

your window motors dead or dying. slam the door, beat the panel, and try to roll it back up.sometimes that will shake some of the buildup off and allow it to operate. this is nothing but a temporary thing to get the window back up without taking the panel apart.
ultimately, you need to replace it. they are 180$ or so lifetime warranty at local auto part stores, with a 30$ core refund.
dealerships will offer you a new motor plus install for around 500.. lol

originally I didn't have the passnger side plug in. I let the top down for some more air circulation and realized the passenger window was still up. So I unplugged the negative line on the battery then plug the passenger side switch back in. Plugged the battery back up and the window rolled down. Took off the negative battery, installed the speaker. Put the battery back on and the now the window won't go up.
