Default Why is my car slower?

Below is my list of mods, listed them in order.
1. HKS True Dual Exhaust
2. Injen CAI
3. Strup Test Pipes
4. 5/16" Plenum Spacer
5. DC Sport Headers
So after got all of these mods done to my car, I can really feel the car breathe MUCH MUCH better, but when i floor my car in 1st gear at 10mph, i don't feel that torque like before and its take extra long to get to redline. I have no CEL or anything, just feel like the car response slower throughout the rpm.

tune tune tune tune.

same mods, different names, different motor, same problem. No low end torque.

your ecu as is will 'learn' the difference in the airflow over time, and get faster everytime you drive it. Are these fairly recent mods?

Mods won't interact right or ever hit their full potential until you have a tune. Also, your car is different, not slower. My headers made my car feel slower (less torque) but made the car eat numbers much better, and the throttle response felt way better. Our cars are known for high-end power over low-end torque, but if you want to feel it more, get a tune.

get a tune.

I was upset with my mods first too, hr with long tube injens,
stillen headers,
fast intentions hfc's
stillen y-pipe
Greddy single exit

Car felt waaaaaayyyy slower...if you don't tune, it will get faster anyways.

Maybe the guys at Nissan know more than you think about making things that work well.

You're right, following emissions laws always makes your car slower

This is exactly the problem, my last car felt slower after I put in the DC headers and lost a lot of backpressure, it wasn't until I got it tuned that I gained the low RPM power back.

Yeah I think this is commonplace, haven't tuned my setup yet with similar mods and I noticed a huge drop off on the bottom. But I've also seen the AFR's and they are far from ideal. The extra air pumping through the system has a lot to do with the lack of bottom-end/lean condition.

Agree with the others who mentioned getting your car tuned.

tuning will help but some mods reduce low end torque either way. you give up a little down low to make gains at the middle of the power band and higher.

With a mail in tune if you told them you have an intake I wouldn't worry about it until you get dyno figures to go with it. If it is a dyno tune, a retune would be useful but only change things slightly if noticable.

Now considering, you had another intake on when you had this problem I have to assume there is a problem with the intake or previous installation.

Opening the exhaust and intake decreases torque and increases top end power.. Check the engine codes even though a CEL light is not lit up, you may have a pending code. Also agree that you need a tune.

It was a Dyno Tune done on a DynoJet, my max was 265rwhp and 245lbtq after the tune, and was 252rwhp and 238lbtq prior to the tune, very low end torque, but after I take out the CAI and convert to short ram, my car is soo much faster.

Its probably a waste to retune especially if it's at full cost. I say this because your setup shouldn't yield much more than 265-275. I would probably just put it on the same dyno one more time to see if it did make the bottom end back. More than likey you'll see the top end increase a little as well, because a bad intake will hit you across the board.
