Default sticky clutch when fully warmed up

well i thought this was a problem with just my previous 6 puck clutchmasters but its doing the same thing with my current OS Giken Triple disk. Ive tried different fluids and I do believe I have a stainless steel clutch line. Any thoughts? Does everyone clutch feel like this or am I the only cursed one? lol.

Mine does the same. When im driving semi-aggressive during 85+ degree weather my clutch pedal gets sticky near the top.

What type of fluid are you running? Is there a lot of free play in the pedal? As in you can depress the clutch quite a bit before you actually get some movement from the slave cylinder.

Someone told me you can fix the problem by doing a flush of the system but I've never tried it.

I was told by my installer for my ATI Carbonetics triple disk carbon clutch that the clutch itself can be adjusted.

He said you can adjust it and sometimes it comes down to it can only be perfect cold or perfect hot. I didnt have to adjust mine at all and had no problems. He said he has had to adjust other carbon triple disks though. I have no experience or knowledge on how to adjust clutches or if the OSG clutches are adjustable just passing along what I was told.

There is an adjustment on the pedal assembly itself, which is why I asked if there was a bit of freeplay in the pedal, if so you can adjust it out to get a more effective stroke out of the pedal.

OP, what do you mean by sticky exactly?

you can really feel it when you depress slowly off the clutch. its doesnt release smoothly almost like there is some sticky substance holding it back.

I used to have that problem with my stock clutch in heat over 90 degree weather. replaced my line with SS nismo. Also bought a new slave since it wasn't too much more, and went to motul RBF600. No sticking since. Using ACT clutch and flywheel now.

Jason I noticed my Spec spuer clutch doing the same thing the last couple of times I've taken the Z out. I kind of thought it was the heat and it sounds like it probably is.

I haven't had time to mess with troubleshooting just yet, but maybe there isn't a whole lot to do anyway.

You have a beast of a Z there... I guess it has to have 1 flaw.

Any difference between easing off the pedal while in gear or in neutral? Multi disc clutches usually don't engage very smoothly as they are not sprung.

I'm having the same issue with my clutch as well. Thinking about replacing stock clutch with an aftermarket one and switching to SS brake lines. Roughly, how much would it cost to have a shop install the clutch and flywheel?

I've never done a clutch install on a 350Z before and wouldn't want to take risk of doing it myself. Thanks.

Should be 5-6 hours of labor, actual cost depends on the labor rate of the shop.

Default I had the same symptoms I think. See my thread.

I think my stock 06 had the same symptoms. ended up getting the Clutch master and slave cylinders replaced.

See my thread for more details and status to date.
