Default "Slip" indicator light

Hey folks! New member to this site. I have a 2005 350Z manual transmission. The other day when taking off in first gear, I accelerated and released the clutch and the car wouldn't move. The "Slip" indicator light on the dash board eluminated. I pushed the clutch all the way back in and hit the gas pedal, to see if the car was still started and hadn't died. It reveded up like normal etc. I shut the car off and restarted it and it ran normal, but the "check engine light" now remains on. This has since occurred about 4 additional times within this past month. Any ideas?

Take it to Autozone and get the code read. Without knowing exactly which code the CEL is for, we'd only be making wild guesses at the cause.

Nearest Autozone to you is:

450 Quintana Road
Morro Bay CA 93442
(805) 772-9383

They should be able to point you in the right direction. They'll read the code for no charge.

Meh. I like to help where I can....16 seconds on the autozone website wasn't too much effort.

True - I thought I had heard that CA doesn't allow it. In that case, go to Harbor Freight and by one for less than $50
