Help me Be COOL like you! Cooling system/Fan Issues ;)
Hey everyone, after a pretty long drive (4 hours) my Z started to get a little warm. The temp gauge was reading about 75% Hot so I pull over to look: the fans are on, the radiators flowing, and I turned my heater on to dissipate the hot air. The beautiful Z is running fine and the heat is staying constant
. Being as it wasn't fluctuating I drove it home like that and let the hood up to cool it. Next day, suspecting the 4 hour drive did it, I take it to blockbuster for a little test run. The gauge goes to about 80% hot in 10 minutes and stays there. I was not going to drive it around like that so I took it home. Sounded to me like a thermostat, so I replaced it. Same issue. Next i noticed the ac compressor fan(driver side) is spinning much slower than the engine fan (passenger side), while I was bleeding the coolant. Since I bled it, it has not heated up but I have not been able to drive it very far. Ive taken short hard trips and it has been fine. The a/c however does not cool while sitting idle. Any thoughts before I replace that fan assembly? Thank you

You didn't say what model year or how long since you changed coolant so this is only a wild guess - air in the system. The little bleeder screw is not sufficient for getting all the air out.
Check the bottom of this page for details on how to bleed the system properly...
