Default Need Advice: Issue with idle/throttle.. P1121 code in ECU

Recently, my service engine soon light came on and the car ran no differently. I took it to Autozone to have the code pulled P1121 (Electronic Throttle Control Actuator). 3 days later I tried to start the car but for some reason the engine would crank but the car would not stay running. After about 10 tries, it started so I brought it to a mechanic that said he took off the throttle assembly and cleaned it. Well now the car runs with a very high idle and it seems to want to take off very aggressively from a stop or when I'm applying the brakes. The service engine soon light came back on and I am assuming it is the same thing. I followed the procedure of resetting the ECU and performed the throttle and idle learning techniques that I found here:

http://www.titantalk.com/forums/tita...-learning.html

Still the car runs at an aggressively high state. Any suggestions as to what I can do or what I need to do? Any help is immensely appreciated.

The very high idle may be because of a vacuum leak. You can check for a vacuum leak by spraying carb cleaner around the area where the mechanic worked; it might have been something he replaced/cleaned since your car was idling fine before. If a vacuum leak is present, the idle will either jump up or down.
If your check engine light is on, pull the code and see what it is on for. Your problem may be resolved by properly tackling the code.
