Default Floor Jack / Jack Stand Adapters

Does anyone know where to get a floor jack adapter. The ones listed in the FSM seem to be discontinued from Kent Moore. I am thinking about doing the hockey puck idea. Also are there any jack stand adapters available. I do not want to crush the pinch weld were the factory jack goes.

I saw a member on G35driver makes some stand adapters for "deeper" jack stands, but mine seem to be relatively flat. Any thoughts???

My aluminum stands from Harbor Freight... http://www.harborfreight.com/automot...nds-91760.html

Floor adapter:
Have a local machine shop cut you about a 3" diameter aluminum puck with a slit notched into it.

Jack stands:
Have a local machine shop cut a notch just wide enough into your jack stand at the center or make an attachment to them.......

I have considered welding a puck...like shown above to the underside of the car that will ALWAYS be on the car and be a permanent jacking puck/point on there...

I made my own out of 4"x4"x1" hard rubber blocks. Cut a 1/4" groove down the center so it fits over the weld seam. They work great with both the floor jack and jack stands.

I went to a local supplier of industrial hoses. They gave me a strip about 4" wide, 30" long of 1" thick rubber. I used some of it to raise my passenger seat an inch - makes it easier for my wife to see over the hood. I made the 4 blocks with the rest.

Dude, my "why didn't I think of that" alarm is going off!! I've got at least a dozen pucks in the basement and all I've been doing is whacking them with a stick.
Thanks, eh!!

It looks like one - but I've never seen one in person.

I have one of these ill be doing it with....

it extends/booms out and i can clamp the puck down on each side. If you don't have a means to cut it, you can stop by any local fabricator and have them do it for you and hook them up with a bit of cash....

Yes it is a hockey puck. I had to call about 5 stores to locate them here in FL. This could not work any better for jacking up the car

It really simple. And 100 times cheaper than buying that crazy miter saw. Just drill straight down. It literally took me 30 seconds. Then carve to your liking. You could even carve it out to sit flush with a jack stand if you want to get creative with it.

Will it fit under a lowered Z? You may have to take a little off the top first.
