Having a couple issues (Radio staying on/ Screeching noise in cold weather)
Two things-
My radio (it's aftermarket) didn't shut off when I shut my car off today. This has never happened before. It wasn't the first time I shut my car off since putting in the new battery (today) either. Just wierd. If I turned the radio off, it would still let me turn the radio back on even with the keys out of the ignition. If I turned it off and kept it off for a min or 2 it wouldn't let me turn it back on. Any ideas?
Second thing- Car screeches like mad hell in cold weather when I turn it on or sometimes when I'm at a stoplight and have the clutch pushed in. It's done this for probably 2 years but only in cold weather(once in a blue moon when it's warm. I was hoping this would go away with a new battery. I had a guy at autozone test my alternator last year and he said it read OK. Any ideas?
What is the normal idle for this car. Mine seems like it's idling too low. Just below the first tick on the rpm gauge before 1. So I think around about 600.
