Default Eagle GT tires and aligment now burning smell?

Put on new tires and got a 4 wheel alignment and now i have a burning rubber smell? Could it be the tires just breaking in?

Maybe your alignment is wrong and that is probably making your tires rub on the inside of your wheel wells.

It's hard to imagine an alignment so far off that the tires are rubbing the body or heating up so much that they smell like they're burning. There would certainly be other symptoms.

Did they put the right size tires in the right place on the car? Are there any unusual sounds or steering symptoms?

I like the smell of new tires. Like if you get 4 tires delivered to the house, and they are banded together. You can be several feet away and smell the new tire smell.

If your toe is off your tires will smell and burn.....

post your alignment sheet specs ??? you should always get a print out of before and after specs....the toe range on these cars is very small, if its out, then your cooking your new tires and they will be gonners in weeks...

if you didnt get an alignment sheet, then go back and prior to leaving research yourself what the specs are supposed to be....

with out the spec sheet......this thread is straight up pointless!!!

you can see them here:

for example, read this posting where i review Dpotters alignment sheet specs:
https://my350z.com/forum/8814260-post281.html

you should go back to your alignment shop and have them "makecopies" lol...

The sheet is at home. I'm going to double check it to check the specs.
I guess I should just go to the dealer from now on to do a alignment

Have one of your SS agents take the car in next time. A customer with a gun always gets good service.

an 18 year old tech at a dealership may not do any better job either, that's silly..................

The best thing is to learn the adjustment points, Know the specs, and watch and ensure its done correctly........

A decent understanding of whats getting adjusted and how to tighten, basic mechanic abilities, etc with out moving components....

Any shop, anywhere can do an alignment into factory specs on a Z so long as the components are there to do so if the car is lowered, etc...
