2006 350z Codes p2a00 and p2a03
Please Help me I have been digging around for days looking for some help with my problem. I just recently started modding my z. about a month ago I got a cod for my catalyst below threshold in bank 1(which I am assuming was a problem with my cat) so since I had already order a Stillen Cat back exhaust I find a local guy that sold me so brand new test pipes(they have resonators) I had the exhaust installed and my check engine light reset, but after about 45 miles I got the same check engine again. So I ordered "o2 simulators"(they were really just spacers)(actually they were only spark plug non foulers driller out and screwed together to make them long enough) on ebay for the 3 rear sensors.. well I installed 1 side and broke the other so since it was just a non fouler i pick up another one for the parts store drilled it out and installed it. I went about 150 miles with no check engine. but then we had a cold front(i dont know if this effected it or not) and the weather went from mid 70s to 40s and i got the check engine light again. I never check to see if it was the same code. I came home and installed my new Aem cold air intake and reset the code. after about 40 mile the light came back on. so I took my actron pocket scanner and ran the codes and now its saying i have p2a00 and p2a03 and the description for both is "Fuel air metering auxiliary emissions controls."
I am thinking about removing the spacers and seeing what happens if that does not effect it I am going to try and adding another non fouler(making them 3 non foulers long) to the rear o3 sensors and see if the increased distance away from the pipe makes a difference. If not I am trying to find some kind of electrical sensor simulator or something.
What should I do? please help thank you so much

To add some more information the code I was getting before was a p0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1) and another website says that my p2a00 is O2 Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Bank 1 Sensor 1 and my p2a03 is O2 Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Bank 2 Sensor 1
Oh dear this is confusing:
Sensor #1 is the pre-catalytic converter sensor. You are NOT going to fix it with a non-fouler.
A non-fouler should be about 1-inch long. You can piggyback non-foulers, but it will do you little good.

Is there any simulators or something similar that I can install to fix this issue.
Thats what I was assuming but I was worried because the light came back on before I installed the aem intake... So i figured it was the the same issue as before.. I am assuming that the front pre-cat sensors are throwing codes do to the intake.

That's why I'm afraid to buy new sensors.. I don't want to spend $250 on 2 sensors and it not fix anything.. The car is still running fine an I have no Loss in power.. But the light being on just worries me I hate thinking that my car that only has 40k on it is already broken..

What we found at our shop up here, is after resetting the ECU and the car has to go relearn all the parameters, take it on a non stop 100+ mile drive. Worked on my 06 350z and everyone that came through the shop that wanted to delete the cats.

Really? My EVAP sensor won't ready either. Do you know if this will take care of that as well?
The sensor is most likely not the problem but when I threw a P2A03 code I replaced it anyway (bank 2 sensor 1) since I'd already changed 2 of the 4. After 8 days the dealership determined that my MAF had gone bad.
So they replaced w/ no problem? Light has stayed off? What mods do you have?
So far so good. WAI, high flow cats, and a catless y pipe are the pertinent mods on my 06 Altima SER. I used to be on here when i had a 03 Z and I searched for this problem here because I couldn't find 1 other altima who has had this problem. My car was running so pig rich from this problem that I swore I had an exhaust leak but could never find one. The dealer replaced my MAF and my bank 2 sendor 2 oxygen sensor which was the last of the originals.
