Well this comes as a huge surprise, Didnt see this coming.
I have read up on other threads with the similar problems but so far the threads are left in limbo with no last outcome/solution.
I have not driven my Z in about 3 weeks, so yesterday I get in to drive it to work. (Its been a bit chilly down here where I live, so I wonder if the weather itself somehow affected the car.) The car cranks but just wont start up. turns over, turns over....but just wont turn on. All the lights SES, TPMS, Brake, Seatbelt, interior dome lights etc come on. Headlights, rear lights turn on without any dimming. So im pretty sure the battery is not the issue. All connections battery posts look ok and tight.
Have asked around to several nissan techs and here is what they believe are the possible issues or what they have narrowed down.
1. Relay or a fuse
2. bad Gas pump (have yet to get under neither and hit it and see if unlocks)
3. faulty Maf sensor
What do you guys think? any other things it could be?
While trying to get an idea of cost, I called nissan and they dont sell a relay by itself it seems (think around 7-15 bucks) Nissan will only sell you the entire Module (around 300 bucks)
Any info is appreciated. thanks guys

Well I bought some artificial gas in a can at autozone. ($7) Went home and sprayed the throttle body as I had a friend try and start the car. As I sprayed, The car momentarily started.
So at that point, I figured and narrowed it down it was a fuel pump crapping out on me, or it was the throttlebody itself. I couldnt figure out where the gas tank was until I did of bit of research. Once I found it, I hit a couple of times to see if it would unlock itself from the stuck position it was it. So At least thats what I thought. After about 20 mintues of trying that over and over nothing happened. So I rechecked, my steps, looked at the throttle body again, Checked the gas tank but as I was looking at it, I noticed the wire harness was frayed. All. How did that happen? Who the hell knows.
I have no idea what could of caused that.
So after calling nissan (Sterling mcall Nissan) for get a qoute of an entire new wire harness and having it installed I was looking at around almost 1200.00 bucks just for the wire harness. Probably add about 10-15 hours of manual labor as I got qouted since the harness itself is heavily tucked under the frame to the point you have to undo quite of bit of the car before you can even get to it.
So I went back to autozone and bought soddering kit, Heat gun, some electrical tape, new wire, (40.00 total) and youtubed a vid how on how to sodder. About two hours later after all the wires were redone.
Reconnected the wire to the pump it self. Moment of truth, I got back in the car and checked and sure enough it restarted.
Got a CEL light on but the tech told me it may go away on its on after driving the car for a bit or I will just have to take it to nissan to get that light taken care of.
Im still heavily baffled as to what caused the frayed wires though.
