and have a host of problems needing some takin' care of:

I hope this is the correct area for this post:

Has anyone had any problems with oil leaks from the timing cover area? I seem to have an oil leak on the left side as you are looking front to back, near the power steering pump. I was hoping it was the pump, but after clearing off all the oil it does seem to be coming from the timing cover. I just am not sure if it's the front cover or the rear cover. Is this a common problem? How much of a headache would it be to fix?

2nd question: I think my wiper handle may have been wired or put back incorrectly. I just picked up this Z a month ago and am still finding things wrong with it. When I pull the lever toward me the rear washer fluid flows. When i push the lever away from me, the front wiper fluid flows and the rear wiper arm moves but no fluid. Driving me nuts. Any ideas where i should start looking?

3rd question: Driver side window does not roll down a little when the door is opened. The window switch seems to work ok as it will roll the window all the way down and back up. The door switch seems to work ok as the interior lights turn on when i open the door. I am most concerned as I've read you're not supposed to close the door if the window is rolled all the way up as this may cause damage to the side roof panel. The passenger side works just fine.

4th: Whoever owned the Z b4 me didn't take good care of the clear plastic lenses on the gauge pods. They are all hazy and not smooth or clear at all. Are the lenses part of each gauge or are they part of the entire upper center console? Any ideas on how to get them clear and shiny again?

5th and last question: My oil gauge is reading over 120/maxed out as soon as the car is turned on. It always stays that way-no fluctuation. Any ideas how to fix or what i should check?

Any help with the above would be most appreciated

Chris

#2. It sounds like you may have a bad multifunction switch, but I have not seen this problem on this car.

#3. You may need to perform the window reset procedure. Do a search for window reset and threads will come up.

#5. Sounds like the oil pressure sending unit has failed. It's a common problem, but a relatively easy and inexpensive fix.

#3. I agree with AJcaron. As for your worries, don't. If the window was actually all the way up, your problem would be solved on the first door close. The window would smash into a million cubes and you'd F-up a line on your roof paint.
Look at the passenger side for proof. You can see that the glass needs to drop when it's 100% up. Yours is stuck at about 98%. If it's not raining inside the vehicle, you can put this repair off for a while.
