I would do a leak down test before I do something.

The seals around the spark plug wells in the factory valve cover are not replaceable, only the seal around the valve cover perimeter. Valve covers are sold by Nissan as a complete assembly.

That is weak sauce! Cant u just cut out the old gasket and slap some high temp RTV and call it a day???

I mean, cmon now...its a VC seal not a headgasket...

Or not necessarily "cut it out" but re-use it but seal it with RTV is what i meant to say...

I guess it may help to see what it looks like (to truely understand), i havent found a need to start tearing apart my HR just yet...I just got it not too long ago haha

I had oil on plug hole 2 and 3 when i replaced my plugs,it dose not look too bad though...hole 2 was very lite on oil and hole 3 little more but on the lite side i will say. Best Friend of mine that is a head Fabricator and knows and works on cars and motors all the time was with me when i did my plugs, He actually called out that it was the valve covers and says its no big deal. haha I trust him, as long as your plug holes arnt filled to the top with oil or oil is driping out you should be good.

Resurrection this for update

I saw this gasket set with what looks like the grommets for the coil tubes.
I have not gotten any responce from R&D about their grommets, though I read those are from a 00-'01 Maxima grommet will work, as well as a Ishino Spark Plug Seal (though the post say they run a bit too tight.

Ishino Spark Plug Seal : Amazon.com : Automotive Ishino Spark Plug Seal : Amazon.com : Automotive

Here is a gasket set I found that seems (according to all my searching) to include the said grommets and fits the Z sparkplug tubes when you do the cutout mod to the oil baffle. per R&Ds instructions

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Here is also the pics I took yesterday

Here is a diagram of the gaping of each plug in mm.
Stock is 1.1 and these were anywhere from 1.5mm - 2mm.

I re-gaped em to aprx 1.1-1.2 and the car runs so much better. ( ordering new plugs today since these are stupid worn. The weird part is this engine was changed by Nissan (by previous owner) at 50k, now I have 70k, how dafuq are these spark plugs this gaped out?
