Default lsd swap

My VLSD went out and I need to know if I need to modify anything or if it needs to be a special kind of LSD. I'm buying a stock lsd. Need some help.

Well ur LSD is pretty much 2 clutches. They wear out like a clutch. So once ur trying to drift or burn out, the clutches lose grip and one side will just lose traction.

Diff fluid is seperate from the VLSD fluid. Once the VLSD fluid has been cooked (usually lasts 2 to 3 trackdays ) it needs to be replaced, there is no rebuild for it. http://www.courtesyparts.com/kb_sear....php?keywords=[38420M]+\(Z33&cPath=714_715_778_798 is the replacement, or better yet, just install a REAL LSD

OK since I'm a newbie to this diff, when I go to buy the LSD does it have to be a certain one cause of my car having the option to turn on and off traction control?

No.

Decide what your future use is for your vehicle and your budget for the LSD and make the proper purchase the first time around.

As Z1 said, not at all. My VDC functions just fine with my OS Giken unit installed (Ordered from Z1)

If you want a prety smooth diff that requires no maintenance look into a Quaife 1.5 way

I'm still curious about what you mean when you say, "My VLSD went out . . .". Please share the details.
