Ok so here is the deal i just installed a double din in dash dvd player and tried to start my car without connecting the white box and got all the lights on my dash bored to light up. once i realized that i did this i plugged it back in and started it back up. All the lights went out except the the check engine light. Idk what the hell happened. its an 03 touring. Idk if i have to reset the ecu or just unplug the battery. Any help would be appreciated

Pretty common problem. Either get the CEL cleared or disconnect battery overnight and that will reset it.

Hey man, just fyi I did the ECU reset procedure (5 gas pedal press prodecure) and it worked. I'll let you know if the codes come back up

 

Codes came back. They only showed up after this stereo install. Should I disconnect the battery over night?
